Encrinuroides capitonis trilobiteComing from the Middle Ordovician deposits of Oklahoma, this is a most uncommon Phacopid (Order Phacopida, Family Encrinuridae) known as Encrinuroides capitonis. It is completely free of matrix, seen in an enrolled defensive position. Missing only the right eyestalk, it is a fine example of this rarely-seen taxon.
